Baby Shower: Card in a Box

I haven't made a card in a box for quite a while.  I really enjoy making them.  This one is a little larger than I have made before, so I had to make the envelope for the larger card..

Storage for Ink Pads

I had run out of room with my ink pad storage.  I ran across a blog that showed this nifty idea.  Sold on Amazon, the Media Stix are for storing CDs.  However, the Stampin' Up! ink pads fit like a glove!  Each set of Media Stix holds 60 ink pads.  I bought two sets; now I can store my ink pads in style!

The media sticks are attached to the wall.  They are at a slight angle, but I have not had any trouble with the ink running.

Birthday: Masculine Watercolor Clocks

I watercolored the background in browns.  Then I embossed with a Darice clock folder.  I sponged lightly the embossed raised portion.  I added the sentiment and put the die cut gear/clock on the inside.

Thank You: Watercolor Embossed

A quick thank you for a coworker.  She loaned me some money and saved me 20 minutes!  Inside the card is the two quarters she loaned me.  I watercolored the background, then embossed with an old embossing folder.  Quick and easy!

Sympathy: Watercolor Poppies

I watercolored the background, die cut the background with stitched shapes, die cut the poppies, and adhered it all together.  I love the soft colors.  The card stock is Pool Party.

Birthday: Watercolor Dragonfly Dreams

Avant Garden has a flower stamp that fits on a stem.  I used that flower stamp in circles of three to create a flower.  Once spritzed, the flowers look like a single flower.  I had a piece of shimmery card stock that blended perfectly with the watercolored piece.

Birthday: Watercolor, Flowers, and a "Whoosh"

This is birthday season for me.  I used the "whoosh" from the Stampin' Up! set Star of Light.  With spritzing of water, most of the stars in the "whoosh" were blended into the colors.  However, I love the effect.

Both flowers were stamped and die cut using card stock rather than watercolor paper.  The look was too harsh for me, so I spritzed them also.  Then I shaped the flower while still damp.  The flowers stayed in perfect shape when dry!
