Thank You and Candy Holder

I needed several thank you cards, so I chose to make a candy holder with the thanks included. It is always fun to get a special treat.

I used ecru card stock scored to create the holder. The flap at the top is brown and green card stock. I punched the lattice on the green and then punched a hole for the ribbon. I attached the flap on the back with lots of adhesive. The ovals and scalloped ovals used Stampin' Up punches and rubber stamps. The ribbon holds it all together.

The candy is in a bag, stapled at the top and taped to the holder. I needed to use a lot of adhesive here because the candy weighs more than the holder. The candy is one package of melted almond bark with a cup or so of crushed Oreos. An easy treat.

Wedding: Humorous

My son needed a card for a friend's wedding. Choosing a non-traditional, humorous approach, I used blue and white card stock with Cuttlebug's Dotted Swiss embossing folder. I printed the front with my computer; however, I rubber stamped the inside of the card. The ribbon and jewels completed the card.

Sympathy Card: Ivy Green

Needing another sympathy card, I have to be creative in using the same stamps in a different arrangement. I opted for a mellow green card stock with the Cuttlebug's D'Vine Swirls embossing folder for the front. I used dimensionals and jewels for the stamped piece on the front.

Autumn Thank You Card

Even though the weather is threatening snow, it is still fall in Montana. I used the yellow and orange theme to complement our autumn -- however fleeting it is.

I used yellow card stock with Cuttlebug's dotted swiss embossing folder with white card stock. The thank you stamp is from the Stampin' Up set Alphabet Soup. I used dimensionals for the stamped piece.

The fabric leaf was found at a garage sale -- gotta love it. The jewels and ribbon finish off the card.

Sympathy Card: Copper Metallic

This card was made for a special friend whose 97 year old grandma passed away recently. I embossed the front of the card. I used an embossing powder with the rubber stamp, to match the shiny effect of the paper.
