Birthday: Honeycombs

Using Elegant Eggplant as the ink and base card stock.  The designer paper is one I found at JoAnn Fabrics.

I used the new honeycomb embossing folder from Stampin' Up!  The embossing folder on the white card.  Since the folder has a deep impression, I ran the designer paper through using a shim.  The hexagons almost popped out.

I can't believe Stampin' Up has not developed a punch the same size as the inside hexagon.  I hope they have one soon.

A pearl in the center and ribbon at the top finished the card off.

Happy 85th Birthday, Dad!

My dad's 85th birthday is Tuesday.  The card is made with Always Artichoke and Early Espresso.  The truck was stamped on a scrap piece of paper -- not sure what color it is.

The truck was stamped and cut with an oval die.  The same size oval was cut in green, then cut in half.  The halves were pulled apart a bit and taped to the back.

Happy birthday, Dad!

Oreo Cookie with Hexagon Envelope

Don't you think this Oreo cookie look-alike is adorable?

The white inside looks like the frosting.  The blue hexagon envelope looks like the Oreo packaging.

I used the Stampin' Up! stamp set Sweet Cake for the sentiment.   I used Chocolate Chip and Early Espresso for the ink and paper colors.  The red heart brad adds a touch of color.

I certainly had fun with this one!

Sympathy Card for Loss of Pet Chicken

This sympathy card was for a friend that has backyard chickens.  She unexpectedly lost one of her chickens this week.

The papers are Soft Suede and Crumb Cake.  The stamp is from a very old Stampin' Up set; I cut off the sentiment "From the Kitchen Of".  The stamp has a very delicate impression.

The twine and buttons finished it off.

Round Card with Hexagonal Envelope in Yellow

I love the hexagonal envelope.  It is actually a CD holder, but I thought the round card fit perfectly.

This uses the Just Believe stamp set with Crushed Curry.  I love the new mini curly label stamps and punch.  So fun!

The envelope uses a full 12" x 12" sheet of designer paper, but I love the beautiful look.
