Feel Better Soon: File Folder Challenge

For the card club challenge this month, I was given a piece of pink card stock and told to make a "file folder" card.  I choose the get well soon theme.  The front of the card was decorated with the honey comb Sizzix die and the floral stamps and punches.  Bling was attached.

The inside of the card also used the honey comb die.  I inserted the recipe for Beef Vegetable and Barley Soup.  The recipe comes from the book The Perfect Mix by Diane Phillips.  The soup starter mix comes in a quart jar - mixed up by me; the other ingredients are packaged in a bag or basket.   The recipient only has to add water to the ingredients to have a wonderful, home cooked meal.

Spring Time Scrapbook Page

Aaron's Scrapbook Club had a challenge for this month:  Sue gave them a piece of paper and told them to create a page.

She received the 6x6 designer paper that she made into the fringe flower.
She color coordinated the brown/green DSP with the pink.  Hot glued them to the corner, added the SPRING TIME and the pictures.

All of the pictures are from recent trips to our cabin in Nye, which is our piece of heaven on earth!

Jakob is writing his name on the leftover box.  His first attempt at his name.  Patrick is shooting Adam's gun under Jason's tutelage.  The snow fell on April 28!  We are really sick of winter!

Recycling Project

Patrick's project at school was to create something new from something old.

We used an old vase, old twine, scrap paper, old fireplace matches, and Stampin' Up's Swirl Floral die and the leaf die. Patrick used a hot glue gun for the very first time.  He made "Steve" from Minecraft from graph paper and colored pencils.

Job well done, Patrick!

Card In A Box Challenge

My SU demonstrator Sue had a challenge for our card club last month.  Aaron and I really enjoyed this challenge; we ended up making seven cards in a box.  I love the 3D look to the cards.  I really enjoyed that I could pull out all of my stamps on a certain theme (fishing, time, flowers, trucks, etc.) and use them all!  What a fun time.
