Boxes for Boxing Day

I made 3 boxes to hold some cards (4 1/4" x 5 1/2") that I give for boxing day.

The bottom of the box was textured card stock.  It measured 9 3/4" x 8 1/2", scored on all sides at 1 3/4".

The top was made from designer paper.  It measured 9 13/16" x 8 9/16", scored on all sides at 1 3/4".  The fit is quite tight, but the SU trimmer wouldn't measure 3/32", so I measured 1/16" added to the bottom's measurements.

I tied the boxes with baker's twine.

Photo Album from a CD Jewel Case

This is such a fun and useful project!  The CD jewel case needs to be the thick case, not the mini case.  You can fit twelve 4" square photos in the album, so you need the extra thickness in the case.

The bottoms are 5 1/4 x 4 5/8" and 4 7/8 x 4 3/4".  I could have gone just a bit larger, but I wanted a little wiggle room.  The mats are 4 1/2 x 4 3/8".

The accordion is made from two pieces of cardstock 4"x12", scored at 4" and 8".  The two pieces are held together with a piece of cardstock 4"x8", scored at 4".  The 4"x8" piece completely overlap the two accordion pieces; make sure the score lines are still able to fold cleanly.  I used red sticky tape on all of the pieces on the accordion, including the bottom and the mat.

I used red sticky tape to attach the punched tab for the handle.  I could have used ribbon, but the punched tab fit into the case.

Christmas: Gift Card Holder

This is a quick and easy project.  I used Cherry Cobbler for the base.

The base is 2 3/4" by 11", scored at 3 3/4", 7 3/4", and 8".

The DSP on the inside is 2 5/8" by 3 5/8".

The DSP on the front is 2 3/8" wide.  I cut it long enough to put through the Big Shot using a label framelit.

The slot was made with the Word Window punch.  I used dimensionals to create the pocket for the card.

The front sentiment uses the 2" circle punch and the 2 3/8" scalloped punch.
