Birthday Flourish Center Step with Butterfly

Island Indigo is becoming one of my favorite colors; I love its rich color.

I used the flourish stamp from Stampin' Up!  The butterfly punch and the lattice edge punch are also from Stampin' Up!  The sentiment is from the Petite Pairs stamp set, also SU.

Christmas Thank You Ghirardelli Candy Wrap

I measured the Ghirardelli candy bar for length.  Then I measured the perimeter, scoring at each of the edges.

I used the Delicate Doilies stamp set in Wild Wasabi.  This made a delicate wreath.  The sentiment is from Petite Pairs (I love that set!), punched with 1 1/4" punch for the white and 1 3/8" for the real red.  I attached a band around the center, added a snow flake, sponged the scalloped circle, and we are done!

Christmas Bird Seed for Scandinavian Tradition

There is a Scandinavian tradition that if you spread bird seed on your doorstep on Christmas morning, you will have good luck in the coming year.  To assist people, I put birdseed in test tubes and attached the scalloped circle and a bird.

On one side of the scalloped circle is a Merry Christmas sentiment.  The explanation of the tradition on the other side is computer printed.

Christmas 2011 Tree Topper

Last year we only had Patrick in the house.  This year we have Patrick and Jakob.  So we had to decorate both sides of the 3-D pop-up ball!

We attached only 5 of the 6 sides.  Then we added bling and snowflakes.  And more bling!  And then some more!

The picture of Jakob was taken this summer at ZooMontana.  The picture of Patrick is when he was climbing a tree right after losing his first tooth!

Christmas Center Step Wreath

The center step card is still my standard card!  I stamped the front and sides with a Stampin' Up! holly background stamp.  The wreath is punched from the Stampin' Up! Boho Blossoms punch.  I used the largest flower, cut them in half, and adhered them to a circle.  I then decorated with bling and a tiny ribbon. I discovered this video on YouTube showing me how to tie the bow with a fork!

Four Pack of Hershey Nougats

Using Stampin' Up's candy wraps, I put four wrapped Hershey Nougat bars into a small cellophane back.  The red card stock is folded over and stapled.  Then I layered the white with a stamped, punched, and sponged tree from the pendant set.  The merry sentiment is also from the pendant set.  Very fun set.

Christmas Center Step Gift Card Holder

Indigo Island is such a rich color.  I used Stampin' Up! ornament stamp and punch.  The ornament is mounted on dimensionals, as is the sentiment. The embossed background is also Stampin' Up!  The sentiment stamp is from Hero Arts.

Halloween Test Tube Treats

Test tubes for Halloween! I used Stampin' Up's Batty for You stamp set stamped in orange on white. The orange scallop, the black bat, and the orange ribbon makes for a cute treat! I used Skittles and Reese's pieces in the test tube.

Christmas Advent Calendar with Decorated Test Tubes

Stampin Up has a new stamp set just for making advent calendars. I put a twist on the calendar by mounting the windows showing the date on test tubes. I added the scalloped back and a ribbon. There are skittles in the test tubes.

Test Tube Birthday Card

I used a test tube filled with Skittles and the Best Bot stamp set from Stampin' Up! for a perfect card for a 7-year old boy. The card base is 3 1/2" by 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4". I also scored at 9/16" away from the 4 1/4" score line on both sides. Then about an inch from each edge, I cut from score line to score line. This creates the pocket for the test tube.

Test Tube Treats for Patrick's Birthday

I look online everyday for new ideas. I saw the test tubes on Split Coast Stampers and immediately knew I needed them. I printed the sentiment on Bermuda Bay. (I am so sad that this color is no longer available!) The red and bermuda bay were punched with the same size, then offset slightly. Mounted on the test tube (loaded with Skittles) with a dimensional, 25 of these birthday treats were done in no time at all!  Aaron designed and made this project!

Autumn Thanksgiving Center Step Card

I feel the crisp coolness at night, so it must be autumn. I used the brown as the base, using the center step design. Stampin' Up's Tasteful Trim die gave me the scalloped and zigzag pieces. The flourish stamp was topped with Autumn Blessings (printed with the computer) and a ribbon.

Doily Center Step Cards

We found a circle punch at Michael's that I could not resist. I found a circle cutter at a garage sale -- and we were set! I love the circle punch's delicate doily look. The new Stampin' Up delicate doily set was used for the center. River rock card stock and ink were used. The trim is from the Tasteful Trim die. What a lovely card!

Aaron created this design, which is a CASE of Sue's. Stampin' Up's Vintage Vogue stamp set created the delicate center panel. She stamped the image on the paper in the dark purple. Then she stamped the image on another piece of paper using the roll technique. She first inked the stamp with the light purple. Then she rolled the edges in the dark purple. The punched pieces on the sides are from the new doily punch. Beautiful!

Christmas Gift Card Holder

There is a single layer of card stock layered with the snowflake designer paper. Attached to that is the actual card holder. The holder opens up to show the gift card. When folded together, the snowflake brad holds it together. The snowflakes were punched and randomly placed.

More Center Stair Step Cards

I am still fascinated with the design of the center stair step cards. The first card uses dies for the scalloped circles, scallop edge punch, butterfly embosslits, and the Stampin' Up Simply Soft.

The second card uses Martha Stewart's lattice edge punch Stampin' Up's swirl stamp.

Just For You: Tulip Frame

The tulip frame embossing folder is so elegant! I used the new Stampin' Up! stamp set Simply Soft, using a darker blue for the stems and a lighter blue for the petals. The flowers were punched and bling added. The sentiment was put on dimensionals and bling added.

This card is pure elegance.

Just For You: Gift Card Holder

I used the top note die for the base of the gift card holder. I used an 11" long piece of card stock, folded into an M. Then I place the card stock onto the die so one side did not get cut. I glued the M together and punched an opening with the word window punch.

I adhered the folded top note onto a layered card stock/designer paper. I used a large brad to hold the top note closed. To hide the brad, I stamped a sentiment on a scalloped oval and adhered it to the back.

Birthday: Center Stair Step

Another center stair step card. I made the front panel and sides just a wee bit wider this time. I used Bravo Burgandy card stock and ink. The designer paper is a textured pink. I love the new stamps from Stampin' Up!

Thank You: Center Stair Step

What a fun card! When I first saw the directions for this card, I decided it was too much work. However, I tried it and decided it wasn't as complicated as I first thought.

Brown and lilac card stock with coordinating designer paper were used. The dragonfly and thank you are from Stampin' Up, as are the punches for the sentiment.

Thank You: Embossed Butterflies

I received a new Stampin' Up! order (for my birthday) and I just had to play with them! This uses a new stamp set, the embosslits, and an embossing folder. Aaron did the placement of the butterflies; we both designed the layout of the card. Beautiful card!

Dude Truck

This was a fun card! The truck and the dude just screams "guy" the whole way. The cogs were punched from Stampin' Up's cog punch using a silver metallic paper. The truck and sentiment were stamped on white card stock using Not Quite Navy ink and ticket punched with brads.

Embossed Stylized Flowers

The flowers were punched out of a designer paper using five different circle punches. Aaron did the designing of the flowers. She has a better eye than me.

The white card stock was embossed and then the punched flowers were put on the already embossed paper. Then I ran the card stock through the Cuttlebug again to emboss the flowers. What a lovely effect the double embossing has!

Just For You Blossoms

Orchid Opulence is used for the card base. The tulip frame embossing on white card stock adds such elegance to the card. I used the apple blossom stamp, colored, layered, and added bling. I also layered the sentiment with the label and word window punches.

Birthday: How Many Cupcakes

I am still playing with color and patterns. This card uses greens for the card stock (I think I miss my white card stock). The designer paper is from some scraps I am using up. Stampin' Up punches used: scalloped circle, circle, and the cupcake. The sentiment is from the Create a Cupcake set. Edges are rounded and sponged. Bling was added.

I used some scrap vellum for the frosting top. The swirls made the perfect frosting!

Birthday Mini Take Out Box

The mini take out box is just too fun. I use the cutting die from Lifestyle Crafts and Stampin' Up's oval and oval scallop punches. The designer paper is from a kit I have had for years. I am trying to use up some of my old stock.

Happy Butterfly -- Aaron's First Solo Card!

Aaron has the bug! She has helped and advised me with my cards, but she wanted to try her own creative style. She has such a great creative eye!

She used the green card stock for her base. Then she used the light green designer paper, accenting it with the doily designer paper. She punched flowers, layered them, and attached a brad. The butterfly was punched and the body stamped. She used a dimensional for the butterfly.

The first card is always the hardest

{Friend to Friend} with a Vespa!

The Stampin' Up set On the Grow has two of my favorite stamps. The Vespa stamp is my personal favorite because I drive a 1981 Vespa.

This card uses shades of orange in card stock and designer paper. The sentiment is punched with the word window and layered with the label punch.

Birthday: Swirls with Vase

I used Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White card stock. The floral vase stamp is becoming one of my favorite; it goes so well with the elegant swirl embossing folder. The sentiment was punched from the word window and adhered to the label punch. Sweet and simple.

Birthday: Flowers and Squares

My daughter has a great eye for color. I am more monochromatic. She made me stretch myself with this card. I used three shades of green and accented with gold and orange in the ribbon. The bling was even two different colors and sizes! Oh, my!

I used the postage stamp punch, the three for you flower punch, the triple flower punch, and a square punch. The stamp is from the pretty postage stamp set.

Bookmark: Gymnasts in Purple

I recently received the three gymnasts stamp set. I stamped and colored the gymnasts, punched out with the circle punch, layered on a scalloped circle, added stars around, and layered the bookmark. The purple bow at the top finished it off. What fun!

Thank You: Dragonfly

I love this stamp! It is from the Stampin' Up set Winged Things. The sentiment is also Stampin' Up. Card stock and ink are both Not Quite Navy. The dragonfly has blue bling for the eyes and body. Fun card.

Extreme Guitar -- You Rock

Another extreme guitar card. This is done on not quite navy and whisper white card stock. The image was stamped, layered, and ticket punched. The stars were punched and put on dimensionals. All edges were sponged.

Thinking of You -- Again

Thinking of You is a generic sentiment, so I am making some generic cards this summer during my time off. This card uses dark brown, pumpkin orange, and yellow card stocks. The orange and yellow are cut to different sizes and layered. Bling was added. The stamp is Stampin' Up.

Thinking of You

This card goes away from my norm. I used designer series paper on the left side and as a layer. I definitely left my comfort zone, but that is the only way to grow.

I used Stampin' Up's Thoughts and Prayers stamp set. I use the tree in this set a lot, but I really like this flower stem. I cut the "Thinking of You" in half with scissors and used my acrylic block to stamp it. With the acrylic block, I did not need to use my stamp-ma-jig either.

The card is done with Dusty Durango, accented with ivory and dark brown. The designer series paper is also Stampin' Up.

Father's Day Flowers

Flowers on a Father's Day card???

My daughter is raising two boys on her own, so we celebrate Mother's Day and Father's Day for her. This is the card she received for Father's Day.

I used the dark brown card stock with a layer of flowered vellum. The triple layer punch from Stampin' Up was used for the flowers. The sentiment was printed on the computer and layered on the scallop circle. Pearls were added in the corner and the center of the flowers.

The inside of the card was computer printed; the poem is A Single Parent's Prayer. Time, energy, hands, and heart enough...
