Christmas Gift Card Holder

The blue card stock was 11" x 5.5", scored at 3.5", 5.5", and 7.5". I folded this into an M shape. Using my Cuttlebug and my Sizzix Ornate Frame die, I put the folded edges below the scalloped edge of the die (so I would not cut the folded edge). I taped the folded edges together so the gift card would not fall out. I decorated the front with a punched scallop and circle on dimensionals, a stamped "Merry Christmas", and a ribbon to keep the holder closed. The inside has a stamped image and room for a written message.

I used the Stampin' Up word window punch along the folded edge to create the "pocket" for the gift card. The punch has a half-way mark on its side; that made the line up much easier.

This idea is not an original idea of mine. I watched a video on YouTube with Stamping With Heather (www.stampwithheather.ca) and adapted it to this similar card.

Birthday: Make A Wish

The green and white card stock gave this card a more masculine feel. I also used a smaller, less ornate ribbon.

I used:
Green and white cardstock,
Cuttlebug birthday duo (the embossing folder and die),
Green rhinestones stick-ons,
Green ribbon,
Rubber stamps

Father's Day: Canoe

The canoe, paddle, and skunk are from the same Stampin' Up set. I stamped them twice, cutting one of the images out. Then I put the cut-out images on dimensionals, placing them directly over the first stamped image, giving a truly 3-D effect. The inside of the card is stamped Happy Father's Day!

I used:
Green and tan card stock
Designer paper

Rubber stamps

Dimensionals

Eyelets

Twine

Father's Day: Cabin in the Woods

I stamped the cabin on scrap paper and cut it out. Then I stamped the cabin on the card stock, placed the cut-out cabin directly on top, and then stamped the trees all around the cabin. The inside of the card is stamped Happy Father's Day.

I used:
Brown and cream card stock
Rubber stamps
Colored pencils (for the cabin)
Twine
